Clint Woodfin named Assistant Principal at Bob Jones

MADISON – Madison City Schools’ reputation attracted Clint Woodin to accept the position of Assistant Principal at Bob Jones High School.

Woodfin believes that MCS is “one of the best academic and athletic schools in the state, along with its strong tradition and history, plus the standard of excellence that Madison City Schools places on its schools.”

Woodfin’s focus will be curriculum in his work as Assistant Principal.

Starting his 23rd year of teaching, Woodfin lived in Georgia for 10 years and has lived in Alabama for 12. He taught and coached at James Clemens High School for eight years; Huntsville High School, two years; and East Limestone High School, two years.

“My teaching philosophy has always been to expect your best every day and to communicate and model what ‘best’ looks like,” Woodfin said. “I believe in creating a structured environment in which expectations are set and then allowing the student to grow and develop, whether that has been in the classroom or on the athletic field.”

Woodfin takes pride in helping to revive Fellowship of Christian Athletes or FCA at James Clemens and East Limestone. “We had great student leaders at both schools, and it was awesome to see those students flourish and grow in those clubs along with spreading the good news throughout both schools.”

By accepting his new job, Woodfin fills the vacancy left by former Assistant Principal Lewis White.

“Brie Woodfin is my wife, and she works as a hospice nurse practitioner,” he said. Their daughter, Lily Cate, is 10 years old and will start in fifth grade when the new school year opens. Their son, Wyatt, is eight years old and will enter third grade this year. Both children attend Lindsey Lane Christian Academy.

Few people know that Clint Woodfin competed in a sprint triathlon 10 years ago. “Hardest thing I have ever done,” he said.

When he has free time, Woodfin pursues running, snow skiing, reading and traveling.
