Madison, Providence residents in Art Tour of Homes on Aug. 24

MADISON – This weekend’s Art Tour of Homes will feature sites in Madison and Providence.

This weekend’s tour will feature homes in Madison and Providence. This inspiring event will highlight artistic talents and creative spaces within the community.

Area homeowners and art enthusiasts will open their homes to the public to inspire visitors to start or grow their own collection of art, Patrice Johnson said. Johnson serves as Arts Equity, Marketing and Media Manager for Arts Huntsville.

The art tour is presented by Pei Ling Charitable Trust.

The tour on Aug. 24 will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additional support has been provided by Floor and Decor, ServisFirst Bank, Pic A Frame, Fountain Parker Harbarger & Associates and The Reynolds and Newberry Families.

The tour will feature these homes:

* The Madison home of Michael Johnson.

* The Madison home of Tim and Darla Malueg.

* The Madison home of Norm and Kathi Tew.

* The Providence home of Steve and Kathryn Powers.

* The Providence home of Rick and Jayne Zampelli.

Tourgoers can begin the tour at any of the five homes on the day of the event. The home addresses are available at artshuntsville.org.

Tickets are $20 and available for purchase in advance online with TicketSpice or on the day of the tour at the first house that you visit (exact cash amounts, please).

Arts Huntsville’s Art Tour of Homes showcases how art is part of living spaces, giving tourgoers a greater understanding of how anyone – on any budget – can use art to enhance their environment, Johnson said. This event provides an opportunity to experience Huntsville’s flourishing and thriving arts community.

2024 marks the third year that Arts Huntsville will host two art tours – one in January and one in August.
