The Vine & Oak and Zanotta’s Ristorante open in downtown Madison

MADISON – The Madison Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbons on two new businesses in historic downtown Madison last week.

The Vine & Oak and Zanotta’s Ristorante are the newest additions to the historic downtown business community brought to life by the owners behind Main Street Café and Lanier House.

“It’s been a very long year with opening Zanotta’s, Vine and Oak and Chuck’s Fish, and it’s been very difficult, but I’m going tell you right now this has been the most rewarding. My good friends and I got together, and we had to build it ourselves,” said owner John Hall of The Vine and Oak.

The Vine and Oak is an upscale lounge and wine bar serving an array of wines and liquors and specialty cocktails with a local twist, like the Rocket City Fizz (Gin, St. Germain, Grapefruit Juice, Lime Juice, Simple, Prosecco).

Behind The Vine and Oak, its sister restaurant, Zanotta’s Ristorante serves traditional Italian food and coffee in the former Humphrey Brother’s space for breakfast, brunch, and dinner accompanied by live jazz on weekends.

“This investment is huge, bringing people down here with what you guys have will then bring more businesses. We are so excited with what you’re doing and rarely do we ever have two ribbon cuttings on the same day from the same owners,” said Mayor Paul Finley at the ribbon cuttings. “The other part that is so exciting for Madison is now with the Main Street Alabama designation getting somebody in charge of coming down here and continuing to build out this historic downtown area in the way we all want it and know it can be.”

The Vine & Oak is located at 69 Martin St. and Zanotta’s Ristorante is located at 112 Main St. Visit the thevineandoak.com and zanottasristorante. com for more information. You can read more about both restaurants in the upcoming Sept. issue of Madison Living Magazine.
