Nominate standouts for chamber’s Holiday Membership Party

MADISON – Who deserves recognition for contributing to the overall betterment of living, working and playing in Madison? Nominate an outstanding personality now and experience the awards at Madison Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Membership Party.

The membership party on Nov. 7 at the Jackson Center, 6001 Moquin Drive will open at 5 p.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. “Join us as we usher in the holiday season with our annual Holiday Membership Party: an evening of celebration, recognition and cheer,” Chamber President Michelle Epling said.

“Dress in your holiday best and enjoy surprises, networking, plus the chance to honor Madison’s finest,” Epling said. These nominees are standout people who make Madison’s business community shine.

An individual can only nominate one person for one award. In addition, you can even nominate yourself.

Nominations will be open through Oct. 17. The chamber will present these awards at the membership party:

• Businessperson of the Year Recognizes two individuals who clearly demonstrate dedication to Madison’s business community with initiative, innovation and civic responsiveness. One award goes to an individual from a company with 15 or fewer employees; the other award recognizes an individual from a company with more than 15 employees.

• Creator of the Year—Presented to a visual artist, musician or content creator who produces unique content that wins the hearts and minds of their audience. The ‘creator’s’ work should spotlight the livelihood of the Madison community.

• Citizen of the Year – Designed for a person who supports Madison with outstanding service and participation in educational, civic, charitable or business activities. The nominee performs above-normal work in assignments.

• Young Professional of the Year – Honors an individual 40 years old or younger who has distinguished himself or herself as a leader in a profession and in the community.

The event’s Presenting Sponsor is Huntsville Utilities.
