Madison Newcomers and Neighbors Club to meet Nov. 13 at Hogan YMCA

MADISON – The Madison Newcomers and Neighbors Club, a women’s social organization will meet on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Hogan Family YMCA, 130 Park Square Lane (off Hughes Rd) in Madison. Social time begins at 9:45 a.m. with the meeting starting promptly at 10 a.m. There will be an optional lunch after the meeting at a local restaurant.

The speaker is Alison Kling from Free-2Teach. Alison is CEO of the program that provides free resources to the teachers in Madison and Limestone County’s public-school systems. Founded in 2009 by the late Eula Battle, Free2Teach has provided resources for more than 20,000 teachers representing 113 public schools.

The Club will be accepting donations at the meeting such as: crayola broad markers, crayons, colored pencils, construction paper, copy paper, graph paper, backpacks, dry erase markers, glue sticks and pencils.

Membership in Madison Newcomers and Neighbors Club is open to all women that live in Madison and the surrounding area, whether they are new to the community or lifelong residents.
