Bank Independent conducting annual School Share Drive
NORTH ALABAMA Bank Independent has launched its 13th annual School Share drive, which began June 29. This year’s drive will once again support local students through a “$5 Helps Carry the Cost” campaign, helping provide essential school supplies to children across the communities Bank Independent serves.
The campaign encourages community members to make a monetary donation or contribute school supplies to help ensure students are prepared for a successful school year. Monetary donations will be accepted via PayPal, making it easier than ever to support the drive. Donations may also be dropped off at any Bank Independent sales office.
In addition to ongoing donations, Bank Independent will host special School Share collection day events on July 17 in Florence, Athens, Decatur and Madison. Community members are encouraged to be on the lookout for exact collection day locations and additional event details.
“School Share is one of the many ways we live out our commitment to make a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors,” said Macke Mauldin, CEO of Bank Independent. “Each donation, whether it is $5 or a backpack full of supplies, helps remove a burden for local families and gives students the confidence to begin the school year ready to learn. We are grateful for the generosity of our team members, customers and community partners who continue to make this effort possible year after year.”
Since its inception, Bank Independent’s School Share drive has helped provide school supplies to students throughout North Alabama. Through the continued support of team members, customers and local communities, the annual drive remains an important part of Bank Independent’s commitment to investing in the future of the communities it serves.
Bank Independent partners with local organizations across its seven- county footprint to ensure that donations are distributed to area families in need.
This year, donations will be distributed through Sidney’s Safe in Lauderdale and Colbert County, Teacher Supply Depot in Lauderdale County, DHR of Franklin County, DHR of Lawrence County, DHR of Limestone County, Committee on Church Cooperation in Morgan County, and Free 2 Teach in Madison County.
