Hit-and-Run investigation launched after Huntsville teen killed on Capshaw Road
MADISON – State troopers are asking for the public’s help to find the driver of a vehicle believed to have struck and killed a 16-year-old on Capshaw Road early Thursday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:10 a.m. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the teen was walking in the roadway when fatally injured after being struck by what is believed to be a black Toyota 4Runner. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
After striking the teen, the 4Runner left the scene and the driver is currently unknown at press time Monday. Updates will be post online at www.themadisonrecord. com. The crash occurred on Capshaw Road near the Rustic Cedar Lane, approximately one mile north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are asking the public for assistance with identifying/locating the vehicle. Photos of the vehicle believed to be involved in the crash can be found at the ALEA Facebook page and above. It is believed to be a 2003 to possible 2009 Toyota 4Runner black in color.
