Madison Academy loses out to Sardis

The Sardis Lions defeated the Madison Academy Mustangs in the Mustangs’ first game on the road.

Madison Academy led the first quarter 7-0 after Logan Hamlett’s touchdown run. During the second quarter, the Mustangs fumbled the ball twice in Lion territory, resulting in two scoring drives for Sardis.

Just before the half, Hunter Olive’s pass to Marcus Sease landed the Mustangs another 7 points, tying the score at 14.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Mustangs threw two interceptions. Both Sardis possessions following the turnovers ended in a touchdown, putting another 14 on the board for the Lions.

Sardis rushed for over 280 yards, giving the Sardis Lions the 28-14 victory.
