Thrift Week class to focus on coupons

Madison Public Library will conduct a ‘couponing’ class on Jan. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. The class coincides with Thrift Week at the library.

Presenter Heather McIngvale will explain the basic strategies for effectively using coupons, including meal planning, grocery lists, stockpiling, match-ups, stacking, inserts and advertisements.

“You can learn store by store rules and instructions from Kroger, Publix, WalMart, Walgreen’s and CVS,” youth services librarian Maggie Allen said.
