The company’s new headquarters are located at 500 Lanier Road in Building 1, Suite B.

“Our old office was roughly 5,500 square feet with about 15 offices and about 1,500 square feet of open space,” Cabinet President Andrew Bailey said. “Our new facility is 7,500 square feet with almost all of it open, other than one small conference room and one training room.”

Their former space was adequate, but “we were looking for something different than the millions of square feet of office space in Huntsville. We wanted a loft-like appearance,” Bailey said. The new location has no individual offices but “has open collaborative space, which is more conducive to business in a commercial software company.”

“Cabinet is in the business of making businesses more efficient,” Bailey said. Cabinet converts a company’s paper processes to an electronic process, especially useful for companies with multiple locations. “Our CLOUD solution allows companies to use our software without investing in any infrastructure.”

In addition, Cabinet software integrates with other lines of business software, such as accounting. “We help both large and small businesses with our biggest customer having over 500 licensed seats,” Bailey said. “We also sell our product through our VAR (value added reseller) channel to help extend our reach beyond our direct sales force.”

More than 20 people work at Cabinet. Employees are evenly divided among sales, development and professional services.

Founded in 1999, Cabinet moved from Athens to Madison in 2005 to the Airport Office Center. Initially, Cabinet software was limited to the main SAFE module. “We have added a number of features and other modules to make it more useful to our clients,” Bailey said.

Cabinet’s CLOUD solution is their fastest growing segment, with data centers in Tennessee and Alabama serving thousands of users.
