“Because the Madison Street Festival is a free event, we depend on our sponsors to help defray the expenses of putting on the festival,” sponsorship chairperson Sally Warden said. “There wouldn’t be a Madison Street Festival without the support of our sponsors.”

For the MSF Children’s Area, Madison Hospital donated $2,000. Verizon and BB&T Bank each gave $1500 to sponsor the Maple Street Stage and the Gazebo Stage, respectively.

For the MSF Information Booth, The Brook church gave $1,000. Redstone Federal Credit Union sponsors the Student Art Tent with a $1,000 contribution. Millar Chiropractic donated $1,000 for Artist Alley.

Alabama Pediatric Dental Associates contributed $1,00 for the Expo Area. For the Madison Cafe, First Commercial Bank donated $1,000. The petting zoo received $750 from Happy Tails Ranch. North Alabama Gas District provided $750 for pony rides.

“Total sponsorship revenue is $11,500,” Warden said.

In addition, other businesses are in-kind sponsors, donating goods or services that save expenses for the street festival, Warden said. In-kind sponsors include Valpak, Click Photo Designs by Sarah Brewer, Sawfish Entertainment, Cornerstone Word of Life Church, Madison United Methodist Church, Jack’s, DRASH, Buffalo Rock Beverages and Food Services, The Play Place, Good Samaritan Hospice of Madison, The Station Pub & Grill and Starbucks.

Media sponsors publicize the street festival and keep the community informed about features of the event, Warden said. Media sponsors include “The Madison Record,” “Madison Weekly News,” KISS-FM 106.5, WDRM 102.1, The River 100.3, WTAK 106.1 and The Valley’s CW.

This year’s festival is Oct. 5. For more information, visit madisonstreetfestival.org.
