Madison wraps up Dizzy Dean tournaments tonight

STATE TOURNAMENT ACTION – Madison’s Palmer Park has been playing host to the baseball Dizzy Dean State Tournaments. On June 21-25, Madison hosted the 7U, 9U and 11U teams. This past weekend, the 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U teams competed with the finals being played tonight at Palmer Park. You can read about how the teams fared and the tournaments’ impact on Madison in the July 10 issue of The Madison Record. Pictured above, Madison’s 11U played hard in the state title game. They finished in 2nd place next to Addison. Other winners in the first weekend of state tournaments included Gardendale, Northport Nationals, and Shelby County. Congratulations. CONTRIBUTED
