Four candidates chosen in MCS superintendent search, interviews start next week

MADISON – The top four candidates have been chosen to replace to former Madison City Schools superintendent Robby Parker.

The candidates include both head high school principals in Madison, Sylvia Lambert from Bob Jones High School, and Dr. Brian Clayton from James Clemens High School. Also included is former Decatur City Schools superintendent Dr. Ed Nichols and Dr. Natasha Baker, the deputy superintendent at Hazelwood Schools in Missouri. She had also served as the Michigan Department of Education’s Deputy Superintendent of Education Services.

The interviews will take place next week following the schedule below:

Tuesday, April 7

4 p.m. –  Dr. Natasha Baker
6 p.m. – Dr. Brian Clayton

Wednesday, April 8

4 p.m. – Mrs. Sylvia Lambert
6 p.m. – Dr. Ed Nichols

The interviews will be streamed live on the Board’s website at www.mcs.eduvision.tv/LiveSched.aspx.

To comply with CDC guidelines and protect public health, the school board urges the public, employees or staff who are not required to be in attendance, to view the interviews remotely by accessing the live stream on the website. Anyone who is sick should not attend the meeting.
