Full closure of Balch and Gillespie intersection delayed

MADISON – Madison officials said Monday the city is delaying the full closure of Balch & Gillespie intersection until Sept. 7 due to the potential impacts of Hurricane Ida. It was scheduled to be closed starting this Tuesday.

The intersection of Gillespie Rd and Balch Rd will be closed to traffic starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7-30. Closure will allow for construction of the intersection roundabout.

City officials ask motorists to be aware of this roadwork and follow the posted detour.
