Arrest made in shooting death of teen in Madison shooting
The Madison Police Department has made an arrest in the shooting death of a Decatur teen that occurred last Wednesday.
In a statement, Madison police said they executed search and arrest warrants Saturday at a house in Madison related to the shooting that occurred on Miller Boulevard in Madison.
The Wednesday shooting resulted in the death of Brian Wiggins Jr., 18, of Decatur, MPD said.
On Saturday, Madison police arrested Christopher Saam, 18, of Madison, charging him with murder, police said. Saam was taken to the Madison County Jail.
Madison police said the investigation is active and declined to release additional information.
