Welt enters basic cadet training Michael S. Welt of Madison, son of John and Lawana Welt, has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Welt is a 2003 graduate of Bob Jones High School.
Davis graduates from Air Force training Air Force Tech. Sgt. John T. Davis, son of Kaye Saterfield of Harvest, has graduated from the Air Force Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Kapaun Air Station in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
The six-week course is designed to train students in professional military education that prepares noncommissioned officers for positions of increased responsibility by broadening their leadership and supervisory skills.
Davis has also been selected for promotion to the rank of master sergeant.
His father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Davis, reside in Platteville, Wis.
Wilson completes helicopter qualification course Army 1st Lt. Marquis A. Wilson, son of Levern and Ruthie M. Wilson of Madison, has graduated the AH-64A aircraft qualification course at Fort Rucker in Daleville.
The officer received instruction in the mental and physical skills and knowledge required to achieve pilot qualification in the AH-64A Apache attack helicopter.
Garrison graduates from basic training Army Pvt. Phillip D. Garrison has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
Garrison is a 2002 graduate of Bob Jones High School and is the son of Robert Garrison of Huntsville. The private's mother, Sherry Garrison, resides in Spotswood, N.J.
Day enters basic cadet training Russell G. Day has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy.
Day is the son of Greg and Jan Day of Madison and is a 2003 graduate of Bob Jones High School.
