MARS to provide rides to the polls Nov. 2

The Madison Assisted Ride Service (MARS) will be offering qualified riders a trip to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 2.

This is an expansion of the service, which typically is only able to handle trips to the doctor or employment centers.

Normal eligibility rules, applications and fees still apply.

To enroll in the service, go online to Madisonal.gov/MARS.

There, visitors can find more information about the program and also download an application.

Alternatively, interested parties may call Elise Kirkland, MARS Coordinator, at 256-772-9300 for more information.

With Nov. 2 only a week away, interested parties should get their applications in as soon as possible to allow time for processing. Riders already enrolled in the program can call the regular number, 256-427-6857, to schedule an appointment.
