Bob Jones collecting for a cause

Bob Jones students are collecting books for area children.

All this week, Bob Jones High School students have been collecting books for children in a collaborative book drive with the United Way and Calhoun Community College’s Early Childhood Department.

Youth contributing to their community by helping others is one of United Way’s Education Outcomes as well as a strong focus here at school.  “

To build stronger citizens we must actively create ways for students to get involved in our community,” said Bob Jones assistant principal Julie Finlely. “ Programs that are concrete and recognizable best illustrate good citizenship and the importance of giving back.”

New or gently used books can be dropped off at the school’s front desk through Friday.
