Parrots of the Caribbean kicks off this Saturday

Raffle items include a Nick Saban autographed football, dinner for a week at Madison and Huntsville’s finest restaurants, golf and spa packages and beautiful jewelry to name a few.

The Rotary Club of Madison is hosting its ninth annual Parrots of the Caribbean.

The event will be this Saturday, Aug. 27 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 58 Martin Street in Downtown Madison.

There will be outdoor activities such as live music, food and drinks.

The Zooks, a rock band with an island twist, launches the party, followed by Four on the Floor with its eclectic blend of music from the golden age of rock and roll (50s – 80s).

Fantastic Raffle items will be available throughout the evening. Raffle items include a Nick Saban autographed football, dinner for a week at Madison and Huntsville’s finest restaurants, golf and spa packages and beautiful jewelry to name a few.

Dreamland BBQ and beverages, including soft drinks, margaritas, beer and wine, are available for purchase. All guests must be 21 or older and are encouraged to bring their IDs, blankets, and lawn chairs. Coolers, pets, strollers, and outside food and drink are not permitted. Parrots is held rain or shine.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the night of the event and can be purchased from Madison Rotarians or over the phone at (256) 564-2075. All proceeds benefit the Madison Rotary Club’s local and international projects, including the rebuilding of the tornado-damaged Harvest Youth Center playground, local student vocational and leadership programs, the Madison Public Library, the Madison YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Triana, world-wide polio eradication, humanitarian projects in Honduras, and a variety of community activities.
