Jane Plant; June 3, 2013

Jane Plant, 81, of Huntsville, passed away Monday June 3, 2013. Mrs. Plant was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Walker Plant and a son Raymond Jeffrey Plant. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was Miss Guntersville Lake in 1950 and was a lover of arts and crafts and an avid reader. She loved her grand dogs, Elijah, Jeremiah, Jackson and Mary Grace, vanilla ice cream and her outings at Breusters. She also loved spending time with her sisters and family.

Survivors include daughter, Mary Denise Plant-Covey of Huntsville; son, Clint Warren Plant of Madison; grandchildren, Kristen Kiley Plant of New York City, NY and Trey Warren Plant of Madison; sisters, Ollie Lowery of Calera, Amy Hope Willis of Shelby, and Ella Rae Hatfield of Fayetteville, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday June 6 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service  immediately followed in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peace, Love and Animals, 13135 Nuclear Plant Road, Tanner, AL 35671.
