June 13, 2013; Mary Van Jones Beason

Mary Van Jones Beason of Huntsville went home Thursday, June 13.

Mrs. Beason was a Huntsville native, local business woman, realtor, supporter of many local community organizations, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and humble child/servant of the Lord. Mrs. Beason was a member of the Board of Regents Liberty University, Huntsville Twickenham Republican Women, Auburn Alumni Association, Greenwyche Garden Club, Garth Mountain Garden Club, and a proud supporter of Big Oak Ranch, Kings Home, and Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.

Mary Van is survived by her loving husband of over sixty years, Fred N. Beason; daughter, Belinda V. Gladden; son, Brent W. Beason (Nancy); granddaughter, Jennifer Gladden Bowers (Ashley); grandson, Kyle R. Beason; grandson, Jason Gladden (Tonya); and family members.

Mary Van was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Jones, and her son-in-law, Mr. Randall O. Gladden.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home on Saturday, June 22. Mary Van’s life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Laughlin’s. There was a private burial.

Memorials may be made to the Downtown Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, Big Oak Ranch, King’s Home, Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, or a local charity of your choice .
