Dorothy Lee Roberts, 76, of Athens, Alabama died Tuesday, October 15th at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by loved ones. A memorial service in her honor will take place Saturday, October 19th at 10:30 a.m. at Garth Chapel, First United Methodist Church, Athens. Mrs. Roberts was born in Yerington, Nev. on Nov. 22, 1936.

She was preceded in death by her grandson James A. Roberts Jr. and her husband of 44 years James Monroe Roberts. She is survived by two brothers: Robert Rhodes of Seguin, TX and Jack Rhodes of Fair Oaks, CA. She is also survived by three sons: James Allen Roberts and his wife Melody of Rialto, CA; Gary Lee Roberts of Las Vegas, NV and Michael Dean Roberts and his wife Lisa of Athens. She was loved by her 8 grandkids: Jennifer Corcoran; Christy Wallen; Jamie Ladd; Eric Roberts; Gary Roberts, Jr.; Jaquline Roberts-Howard; Jessica Roberts; Kim Henry and 11 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place at Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home in Atwater, CA and she will be laid to rest in Winton Cemetery in Winton, CA. The family would like to thank the Huntsville Hospital Cardiovascular Surgical ICU staff for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
