Chase Lynn hits target as archer

MADISON – Chase Lynn enjoys playing and competing in three very different sports — archery, soccer and wrestling.

Chase is a member of the archery team at Liberty Middle School, and he has participated with the wrestling team at James Clemens High School. With AYSO soccer, he plays the position of left defender.

However, archery stands out as his favorite sport because of the members of his team and his coaches. Chase was first-place winner in the National Archery in Schools Program category at the World Deer Expo’s Bowmania Competition on July 21-23 in Birmingham.

Sponsored by Bow Hunters of Alabama, Bowmainia is the most recognized and largest indoor 3D tournament in the Southeast. The World Deer Expo is the country’s largest three-day hunting consumer show with more than 1,000 vendors. (worlddeerexpo.com/home)

Chase, who is 13 years old, ranked in third place for the state in wrestling for the 100-pound weight class.

Chase is a student at Liberty Middle School. He participates in Boy Scouts and attends Asbury United Methodist Church.

His parents are Stuart and Janet Lynn. Stuart is chief financial officer for Platinum Mortgage. Janet works as a registered nurse.

Chase’s siblings are Mackenzie, a junior at James Clemens High School; Brooke, a sixth-grader at Mill Creek Elementary School; and Auburn, a fourth-grader at Mill Creek.

The Lynns relocated from Montgomery when Stuart started to work with Platinum Mortgage in 2010.
