McMeans signs with Wallace State

MADISON – Jordan McMeans’ interest and her skills have led to her signing to play softball at Wallace State Community College with Coach A.J. Daugherty.

Currently, she plays softball for James Clemens High School. “I play travel softball with Sharks_18U, coached by Preston ‘Punkin’ King,” Jordan said. “My current position is the outfield, but I am listed as a utility player.”

Softball is Jordan’s favorite sport because she enjoys “watching and playing the game. I have been playing the game since I was five years old.”

A senior at James Clemens, Jordan has participated with Family, Career and Community Leaders of America or FCCLA and National Spanish Honor Society.

“I have one brother, Logan, in ninth grade at James Clemens. I have one sister, Rylee, in seventh grade with Asbury School,” Jordan said. “My dad, Daryl, is a Fire Captain for Madison Fire and Rescue Department. My mother, Wendy, is a CPA and owns her own business, McMeans Accounting Services LLC.”

Jordan’s family moved to Madison in December 2003. “My dad works for the City of Madison, and my parents wanted us to attend Madison City Schools,” she said.
