Salvation Army requests food for Christmas dinners

MADISON COUNTY- The Salvation Army asks residents “to give … because hunger is curable.”

The Salvation Army needs the public to donate food to provide Christmas dinner to families in need and homeless individuals in the community.

Specifically, the organization is asking for hams, frozen dinner rolls and frozen pies.

Salvation Army employees ask residents to drop off items at the community kitchen located at 305 Seminole Drive in Huntsville no later than Dec. 21.

The kitchen’s operational hours are Monday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
