Burma Dell (Allen) Vaught

Burma Dell (Allen) Vaught, 81, formerly of Madison, passed away Jan. 29 at Regency Senior Retirement Village in Huntsville.

She is survived by her son Lindsay Jr. of Harvest and daughter Vicki Vaught Waring (Don) and grandchildren Alan and Lori Waring, all of Madison. She is also survived by a brother, Don Allen, of Ider.

Her husband Lindsay Vaught Sr. predeceased her in 2004.

Burma moved to Madison in 2010 and was a member of Madison Methodist Church, which she loved going to, and was active with United Methodist Women and Double Nickels Club.  She later moved to Heritage Assisted Living in Madison.

Mrs. Vaught was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Section to Durwood Paul and Lillian Pearl Allen, both deceased. She lived in Scottsboro for over 50 years and still has many friends and family in Scottsboro. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Funeral was held Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Scottsboro. The body was laid in state from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that same day.

 

Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, with arrangements by Scottsboro Funeral Home.
