Madison County passes 200 mark in cases of COVID-19
The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) reports that Madison County now has 202 cases of COVID-19 with four deaths from the illness. Limestone County still has 40 cases and no deaths.
There are a total of 5,092 cases of COVID-19 in Alabama, according to the ADPH as of Tuesday, April 21, at 8 a.m. There are currently 787,960 cases of COVID-19 nationwide, with 42,364 deaths and 73,527 recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Statewide there have been 173 deaths reported with 144 of those confirmed by the ADPH. The department also reports 699 total hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
