Thursday’s Celebrate Madison 2024 at Toyota Field promises family fun, city information

MADISON – Celebrate Madison 2024 is here! The free family-fun event at Toyota Field will be held Thursday evening. Gates open at 6 p.m.

“This year’s celebration promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with community spirit, local pride and fun,” said Madison Chamber of Commerce President Michelle Epling. “Celebrate Madison is a special event for our community, showcasing the strength and unity that define Madison.”

The Madison Chamber with Madison Mayor Paul Finley created the event three years ago as a fun and informative way to present the mayor’s state of the city address while showcasing what makes Madison great. A lot of emphasis in past events have been placed on featuring many of the city’s school organizations. Madison City Schools continues to be one of the top school districts in the state and nation, a main reason for Madison’s growth.

Presented by Meta, organizers say Celebrate Madison will feature a range of activities. The first 300 guests will receive a free hot dog, soda and ice cream — an added treat to kick off the festivities.

Mayor Paul Finley will share the latest achievements, projects and updates for Madison. He is expected to unveil a new app for the city’s parks and recreation department.

At Celebrate Madison, residents can shop locally at the Vendor Showcase along the concourse and explore a diverse range of goods and services from local businesses. The audience can expect numerous surprises, including live music, appearances by actors and actresses from Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy, excellent photo opportunities and face painting.

Signalink, the event’s Military Family Sponsor, will recognize a deserving, local military family for their service and dedication. “As a veteran-owned business, Signalink is proud to sponsor Celebrate Madison’s Military Family,” Signalink owners Steve and Alice Lessmann stated. “We understand the sacrifice of not only service members but their families as well.”

“That’s why we count it as a privilege to celebrate and support them. Their commitment to our country, city and community deserves recognition, and we’re glad to play a part in it,” the Lessmanns added.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Signalink to honor our military families and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our city,” Epling said.

A stunning fireworks display will cap off the evening. Huntsville Utilities is the sponsor. The Madison chamber believes it’s the perfect way to end a night of celebration and community spirit.

“A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all our sponsors, partners and community members whose support makes this event possible, reinforcing our collective commitment to the vibrancy of our community,” Epling said.
