Madison Visionary Partners to host Gather Madison, volunteers needed

MADISON – In its premiere in 2025, the Gather Madison event will unite residents of all backgrounds at one long table for a free, shared meal in the spirit of community and thanksgiving.

Madison Visionary Partners or MVP is hosting the event.

“Taking place on Sunday, Nov. 9 at Home Place Park in downtown Madison, this event will celebrate the spirit of togetherness during the season of thankfulness,” MVP Executive Director Christina Hearne said. Gather Madison will open at 12:30 p.m. and end at 2:30 p.m.

The meal at Gather Madison is free to everyone.

“Picture a beautiful fall afternoon in downtown Madison, with one long table set through Home Place Park, where people come together to enjoy food, conversation, live music and activities in a warm, inclusive setting,” Hearne said.

Home Place Park’s address is 100 Shorter St. – three streets south of Main Street. Dining tables will be arranged in a northsouth row. HEMSI will have a first-aid tent at the intersection of Garner and Shorter streets.

A photo booth will be available for a keepsake of the day. Children’s activities will be staged at the park’s south border. Entertainers will perform live at the amphitheater stage.

Power Brands Hospitality Group or PBHG is the Presenting Sponsor for Gather Madison.

MVP is looking for sponsors. Sponsorship gives visibility and recognition by reaching hundreds of attendees. A business will gain brand exposure with event signage, promotional materials, social media and press coverage, Hearne said.

Sponsoring businesses nurture a meaningful association with Madison Visionary Partners in its mission to improve the quality of life in the community “Your sponsorship will help us create a welcoming space filled with food, music, conversation and connection,” Hearne said. “As a sponsor, you’ll . . . play a vital role in launching this meaningful new tradition.”

Available sponsorships include Meal Sponsor for $3,500; Entertainment Sponsor, $3,500; Volunteer Sponsor, $2,500; Kids’ Activities Sponsor, $2,500; and Supporting Sponsors, $1,000.

For more information about sponsorship, call Hearne at 256384-4358 or email christina@mvpmadison. org. MVP will need 100-plus volunteers to prepare, stage and conduct Gather Madison. Individuals can sign up to volunteer when the webpage goes live on this Friday, Sept. 12.
