Madison Newcomers and Neighbors Club meeting to focus on growing houseplants

MADISON – The Madison Newcomers and Neighbors Club, a Women’s Social Organization will meet Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Hogan Family YMCA, 130 Park Square Lane (off Hughes Rd) in Madison. Social time begins at 9:45 a.m with the meeting starting promptly at 10 a.m.

The speaker for October is Anita Reeves with Master Gardeners of North Alabama. Anita’s presentation will focus on growing plants in containers and general instruction on houseplant maintenance. She will also offer creative hacks and demonstrate useful equipment when gardening in the indoor environment. There will be an optional lunch after the meeting at a local restaurant.

Membership is open to all women who live in Madison and the surrounding area, whether they are new to the community or lifelong residents.

The goal Madison Newcomers and Neighbors, is to meet new people, share common interests and learn about the Madison area. Every member brings their own life experiences and that enriches our collective goal of friendships and fun.
