Bartlett to speak in Leadership Greater Huntsville’s ‘Community Conversation’ series in Madison
MADISON – Mayor Ranae Bartlett will appear as guest speaker for “Community Conversation,” a series coordinated by Leadership Greater Huntsville.
“We’re honored to welcome Mayor Ranae Bartlett as our next featured speaker in the Community Conversation series. Fresh off her election to lead Madison, Mayor Bartlett brings a rich background in civic leadership, education and community-driven innovation,” a Leadership Greater Huntsville spokesperson said.
“Join us for an inspiring discussion as the mayor shares her vision for Madison’s future — including how growth, infrastructure and community priorities intersect. She will offer insight into her goals as mayor. This is your chance to engage directly, ask tough questions, and be part of the conversation shaping the city,” according to Leadership Greater Huntsville.
Bartlett’s session on Jan. 14 will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Madison Public Library, 142 Plaza Blvd. Bartlett is a graduate of Class 26 of Leadership Greater Huntsville.
Leadership Greater Huntsville inspires and ignites empowered leaders through education, collaboration and stewardship. The organization offers programs for high school and college students to senior executives and serves the communities of Huntsville, Madison and Madison County, along with the surrounding regions of Alabama.
Managers and top-level executives, along with young professionals starting their careers, benefit from Leadership Greater Huntsville programs. These sessions show the community through a new lens, giving participants more insight and knowledge on major topics and local issues in our community — from public safety and health to education and municipal government.
Classes include site visits, behind- the-scenes tours and interactive Program Days that give participants a better understanding of developments in Madison County. Topics include economics; law enforcement; local, state and federal governments; education; and factors affecting quality of life.

In undergraduate study, Bartlett graduated with high honors from the University of Central Arkansas; she earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in mathematics and political science. Bartlett then earned a Juris Doctorate degree from University of Arkansas School of Law.
She met her husband Todd Guthrie in law school, and they have been married 30-plus years. They have one son, a graduate of the University of Alabama.
