Triana Industries receives performance award

Triana Industries Inc. has received the 2002 Minority Business Exchange Supplier Excellence Award.
United Technologies Corp. presented the company with the award, Triana Industries Inc. is a minority-owned manufacturer of electrical and mechanical. It has been in business since 1972. It was selected to receive the honor as a result of its exemplary performance, outstanding customer service and overall partnering with UTC and its divisions.
"To receive recognition from one of your customers is one of the highest honors you can achieve. For the last 30
years, we have prided ourselves on delivering world-class quality products and total customer satisfaction is our top priority. So, this honor compliments both our products and our philosophy," stated Ralph Malone, president and CEO of Triana Industries Inc.
The award was presented at an inaugural recognition ceremony during the MBE held at the United Technologies Research Center. The company who was recently named Alabama's 2002 Medium-Size Manufacturer of the Year. It also provides a major economic boost to the Triana, Madison and North Alabama areas by employing a staff of nearly 200 workers. Some of the company's major customers include Daimler-Chrysler, Yazaki, Lear, Carrier, and North American Bus Industries.
