Ruth Opal Clutts; Oct. 28, 2010

Ruth Opal Clutts, 100, of Harvest passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 28, 2010 in Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Cortis E. Cobb, husband: Burns and son, John Clutts. She was a life long resident of Madison County and was affectionately called “Grandma” by many family friends. Survivors include her son: Edwin Oneal Clutts and his wife. Viney, of Goodsprings, TN.; Sisters: Doris Coward, of Harvest; Jean Smith, of Louisville, Ky.; Louise Wiatt, of Bryan, Texas; Brothers: Edward and Ben Cobb, of Huntsville; Boyd Cobb of Chattanooga; Grandchildren: Sheldon Clutts and his wife Tonya; Michael and Patrick Clutts; Great Granddaughter: Lila Grace Clutts; Daughter in law: Helen Clutts of Harvest; Special friends: Kathy Ramos and Tim Moulder.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Madison Chapel. Another visitation was at 1 p.m. Oct. 31 at Capshaw Baptist Church, with funeral services beginning at 3 pm with Rev. Bill Sharp officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at madisonchapelfuneralhome.com.
