Chamber of Commerce hires temporary consultant

The executive director position for the Madison Chamber Commerce has yet to be filled, but a consultant has been hired to lead the chamber until that time comes.

Lori King-Taylor, owner of Eagle Collision Center and Trinity Performance Solutions, in will guide for the chamber’s staff for the next several months.

“I’m basically serving and providing leadership for the staff while in the process of finding an executive director,” King-Taylor said. “I’ll also help them in implementing the new strategic plan, and working with them on the activities they already have in place.”

King-Taylor, who has been with the chamber for the past eight years, stepped down from her role as one of the chamber’s board of director’s to take the position.

“She started the projected today and will probably be with us over the next three months,” said Lou Galipeau, manager investor relations. “We are definitely looking forward to working with her in this capacity.”

King-Taylor owns a management consultant firm, and said that experience is what will help her better serve the chamber in the new position.

“It was kind of the perfect match to go into the chamber and provide the same thing I provide businesses,” she said. “I’m thrilled to be working with the chamber. I am a citizen of Madison, my businesses are in Madison and I firmly believe in the chamber and what they are doing. I’m excited to work beside them and move Madison chamber into a new direction.”
