City holding two Easter egg hunts

Participants are asked to bring their own flashlights and baskets.

The city of Madison is hosting two Easter egg hunts in the coming weeks.

Dublin Park’s 15th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday April 7 at Dublin Park’s soccer field number 1. That hunt is for ages 0-5.Gates will open at 9:30 a.m. and the hunt will begin at 10 a.m.

The 5th Annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt will take place Friday, March 30 at Palmer Park’s (baseball) upper quad. The Flashlight Hunt is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and is for ages 5-12. Participants are asked to bring their own flashlights and baskets.

“This is something we started many years ago to show the community how much they are appreciated,” said Gayle Milam, Madison’s events coordinator.

Milam said the Flashlight Hunt, the larger of the two, was moved to Palmer Park in order to separate the children.

“It’s just safer to separate the younger from older,” she said.

Both events are free and open to the public.

For more information, contact Dublin Park at (256) 772- 9300.
