EmbroidMe, a new business on County Line Road, can help customers make their mark.

EmbroidMe, a new business on County Line Road, can help customers make their mark.

Bart McQuitty is sole owner and this franchise business that provides embroidery and direct-to-garment printing.

EmbroidMe also provides screen printing, dye sublimation, heat transfers and vinyl lettering and numbers. “We will soon add laser engraving on apparel and various types of team/spirit wear and promotional products,” McQuitty said.

The store has no minimum order. “Eight-five percent of what we do is produced in house,” McQuitty said.

The store has a seven-day turnaround time on all orders. “If we give you a date for pickup, you’ll get it when promised at competitive prices,” he said.

By the end of May, EmbroidMe will print white ink on dark shirts with a new printer manufactured by Brother. “We’ll be the first EmbroidMe in the United States to receive this piece of machinery,” McQuitty said. “They’re rolling off the production line. I placed the order back in January.”

A Madison resident, McQuitty transferred eight years ago from Indiana as a FBI program manager at the Hazardous Devices School on Redstone Arsenal. He retired last October after 30 years with the federal government — 26 years with FBI and four years as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He saw combat in Grenada and Beirut.

His wife Cathy works for Madison City Schools. This fall, son Josh will be a senior at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and daughter Karrah will be a sophomore at the University of Alabama. They graduated from Bob Jones High School. The family attends St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

McQuitty is a member of Madison Chamber of Commerce, Madison chapter of BNI, Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Rocket H.O.G. Chapter, along with memberships in the Elks, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

EmbroidMe’s address is 12090 County Line Road, Suite B in the Village Shoppes of Madison. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
