Hammad Memon’s parents indicted for hindering prosecution

Hammad Memon’s parents, Safia and Iqba, have been indicted for hindering prosecution, according to The Madison Record’s news partner WAFF.

The Memons are accused of trying to get their son Hammad out of the United States before his murder trial. Police caught Hammad and Safia in Dallas, Texas. According to investigators they had a large amount of cash and Pakistani passports.

Hammad Memon is charged with the February 2010 murder of Todd Brown. Brown was shot and killed during a class change at Discovery Middle School. Memon’s murder trial was set for June but has been postponed. A new trial date has not been set. Hammad Memon is in jail without bond.
