Dublin Park hosting July 4 event

There will be a fireworks show at approximately 8:45 p.m. on July 4 in Dublin Park as part of their Independence Day celebration.

For those looking to celebrate a fun and safe Independence Day with their family, Dublin Park is the place to be on Wednesday, July 4.

The celebration will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the first ever Miss Stars and Stripes Forever Fourth Pageant, which will be held on soccer field one, also known as Malcom Field.

Next, guests can enjoy a variety of entertainment on inflatable activities for all ages that will be set up around soccer field one, such as a giant slide or a 70 foot long obstacle course.

In addition, when the heat gets to be too much, there will be a massive water slide, plus a giant tent to cool down under in the shade. Meanwhile, great music will be provided by local musicians from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Of course, the celebration will end with a fireworks display scheduled to begin at approximately 8:45 p.m.

The City of Madison will provide shuttle services for those seeking to avoid traffic. They will run from 2:00 to 8:00, and will transport people from Bob Jones High School to the event and back. For additional information, call Dublin Park at (256) 772-9300.
