Small explosion injurers Redstone Arsenal worker

A worker at Redstone Arsenal sustained injuries in a small explosion this morning and was taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Redstone’s public affairs office.

The worker was in Redstone’s Building 5400, the Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center, said Public Affairs Officer Mervin Brokke.

“The accident occurred about 8 o’clock this morning,” Brokke said.

Brokke said the man injured was transported by HEMSI to Huntsville Hospital.
