Multiple arrests stem from scuffle at A&T Nails

By Aldo Amato

MADISON — Multiple people were arrested Monday, March 25 at A&T Nail Salon on Hwy 72 in Madison after what police say was an altercation that stemmed from Facebook argument over a child’s father.

Sgt. Drew Westrope with Madison Police said that officers got calls of a “fight in progress” happening at the nail salon.

“Basically, we had a situation where we had two girls fighting over a baby daddy,” Westrope said. “The fight stemmed from Facebook and one of the workers from the salon was antagonizing the other female on Facebook.”

Westrope said that one of the workers challenged the other female to come to the nail salon and “do something.” At that point, Westrope said that the female came to the business and began to fight with the worker.

“When we showed up they were still fighting in the parking lot screaming at each other,” he said. “Then we had when some family members show up and begin to be disorderly. One of them was subsequently charged with disorderly conduct and another was charge with public intoxication.”
