MADISON — In its third season, Madison City Volleyball has opened registration through June 15.

Madison City Volleyball is a parent volunteer organization dedicated to providing recreational volleyball for Madison youth who are eight to 16 years old.

Evaluations will be held at the Dublin Park gym. The 10U players’ slot will be July 22; 12U players, July 23; and 14U and 16U, July 25. All brackets will meet from 6 to 8 p.m.

Practices will begin the week of Aug. 5 and will be held twice weekly. All practices and games will be held at Dublin Park and Madison City Schools campuses, with the exception of any teams who opt to play an extra game at Monrovia Community Center.

After teams are formed, organizers will post schedules on their website at madisoncityvolleyball.com. Games will run from August through September with an end-of-season tournament in early October.

Registration fee is $90 per player through May 31. Players who register on June 1-15 will pay $105. Families registering more than one child will receive a discounted rate of $45 after paying the full price for the first player.

Organizers are recruiting coaches who work well with youth and have coaching experience and volleyball knowledge or are willing to learn. Coaches can receive certification from the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) with a class at Dublin or an online course. Madison City Volleyball pays the certification fee. For information, email to Pat DeSantis at MadisonCityVolleyball@gmail.com.

Coaches and assistant coaches will have a kickoff meeting on July 21 at 6 p.m. at Dublin Park to discuss league rules and draft and team formation.

Alabama Elite Volleyball will host a pre-season clinic on July 20 in the Dublin Park gym. Coaches will attend a clinic from 8 to 10 a.m. Players’ clinics will meet for 10U from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12U from 1 to 3 p.m. The 14U and 16U will meet from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
