Horn recognized for Arbor Week poster

MADISON – Columbia student Courtney Horn helped Alabama First Lady Dianne Bentley plant a tree for Arbor Week. (CONTRIBUTED)

MADISON – Courtney Horn, a student at Columbia Elementary School, was recognized in Montgomery for her contribution in the statewide poster contest for Arbor Week.

Horn took third-place honors for her poster, “Trees Are Terrific and Energy Wise!”

Horn and Columbia teacher Lisa Grice visited with Alabama First Lady Dianne Bentley for a tree planting ceremony. Horn’s parents are Steve and Lisa Horn of Madison.
