James O. Steger December 20, 1965 – August 21, 2014

Mr. James Steger was born on December 20, 1965, to the late Leslie and Sarah Foster Steger in Madison County, Alabama. James was called to his heavenly home on August 21, 2014.
James accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He was a man of good character.
James was educated in the Madison County School System. While attending Buckhorn High School, he exceled in academics and sports. He played basketball and football. As he grew older he realized his passion for carpentry. Making plumbing a hobby, he turned his hobby into a career. James landed a career in construction. He loved his career and could not have imagined doing anything else. He worked in plumbing until his passing.
He leaves to cherish his memories: siblings, Martha Dillard, Mary Hampton, Willie Steger, Robert Steger, Jimmie Lee Steger, Thomas Lee Steger, Nellie Humphrey, and Rose Lee Steger; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Funeral service was at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Royal Chapel of Memories; Pastor Keith Ellison officiated. Interment was in the Cryson Hills Cemetery.
Public Viewing was held from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014 and from 8:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Royal Funeral Home.
