Lloyd Lee Pruitt April 21, 1921 – November 3, 2014

Lloyd Lee Pruitt, age 93, of Madison, died on Monday, November 3, 2014.

Mr. Pruitt was born in Eldridge, Alabama. He retired with 24 years service from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Warrant Officer. Mr. Pruitt was an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in a B-47 Jet Bomber Wing. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War receiving the World War II Victory Medal, American Defense Service Medal among others, as well as a Bronze Star.

Mr. Pruitt is survived by his sister: Pat Strom; his son, Jimmy Pruitt; his daughters: Janet Pruitt, Sandy Mullins, and Pamela Pruitt; his five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Pruitt were held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 1 pm in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with burial following in Huntsville Memory Gardens. The family received friends on November 7, 2014 from 11 am until 1 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of his wife Gwen, to the Alzheimer’s Association, 117-A Longwood Dr. SE, Huntsville, AL 35801.
