Richard Vaughn Lovell August 14, 1953 – March 19, 2015

Mr. Richard V. Lovell, 61, passed away peacefully at his residence in Madison, AL on Thursday, March 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse R. and Justine Deskins Lovell.

Mr. Lovell is survived by his loving daughter, Ashley Lovell Whitt and her husband Matthew of Fayetteville, TN; his son, Brad Lovell and his wife Kacy of Madison, AL; 3 grandchildren, Kelsie Grace Whitt, and Riley and Kade Lovell; and some dear long-time friends.

“Rick”, as most people knew him, worked as an electronic technician at Chrysler for over 30 years and hardly missed a day of work. He was an avid outdoorsman, and believed in God’s Country and all things to do with any kind of nature. He was keenly aware of birds and plants and trees, and loved to share this information with anyone who would talk to him about it. He also liked hunting and was a member of the National Rifle Association of America. Rick also loved to motorcycle and owned his own Harley-Davidson. Richard Lovell was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many!

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Afterwards, a memorial service was conducted by Dr. Bobby Burt commencing at 12:00 Noon in Valhalla’s Chapel. The inurnment immediately followed in Valhalla Memory Gardens Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.
