MADISON – The Huntsville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) volunteered on Sept. 1 to help the Pride of Madison Adopt-a-Mile program.

DAR members picked up trash and debris along Hughes Road, their designated area for Adopt-a-Mile. Participants in this volunteer service were Beth Agee, Regent Wilma Stone, Chris Cowley, Regina Lyon and Betty Vaughan.

Founded in 1890, DAR has headquarters in Washington D.C. The non-profit, non-political volunteer organization for women is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America’s future through better education for children.
