HUNTSVILLE – Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA) has scheduled two events for this week.

“Life Re-imagined – After 50” on Sept. 23 at the Jackson Center, 6001 Moquin Drive in Huntsville will cater to ‘encore entrepreneurs’ who are 50-plus years old. WBCNA is partnering for the session with the Small Business Administration and AARP, which will send a representative from their Washington D.C. office to speak.

The event is free and includes lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. WBCNA business coaches will be available for one-on-one coaching sessions from 1 to 2 p.m. Seating is limited.

“Life Re-imagined is a new way of thinking about what’s next in your life,” WBCNA Public Relations Specialist Melody Tholstrup said. “Backed by decades of research, Life Re-imagined introduces a powerful step-by-step approach to help you discover possibilities, prepare for change and make your ideas real.”

While considering possibilities, participants can gain insight “into where you are in life and where you want to go. You can discover new methods and tools to help you plan your next move,” Tholstrup said.

For individuals older than 50, entrepreneurship offers an opportunity to use knowledge and experience gained during your life experiences to create a new, rewarding business, Tholstrup said.

The session is targets for soon-to-be retirees, entrepreneur candidates, AARP members and “anyone wishing to rediscover what matters most,” Tholstrup said.

In addition, WBCNA will present “Think with Google” on Sept. 25 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Redstone Federal Credit Union, 220 Wynn Drive NW in Huntsville. A guest speaker from Google’s corporate office will teach workshops on the best ways to use Google marketing tools.

“We welcome the Google team to Huntsville to tell us how to ‘Think with Google,’ from reviving old marketing themes to learning the latest cutting-edge marketing tactics,” Tholstrup said.

Fee is $99, full day; $59, half-day with lunch; or $20, lunch only. Seating is limited.
