MADISON – Baseball standout Jordan Anderson moved to Madison when he was a freshman. “I moved because I was yearning for a new school with greater academic opportunities and better baseball competition,” he said.

Jordan recently signed a baseball scholarship with Mississippi State University.

Jordan, a senior at James Clemens High School, is a member of Peer Helpers, National Honors Art Society and National Society of High School Scholars. Jordan participates in track and field and plays center field in baseball.

“Baseball is my favorite sport, because, yes, it is fun, but it is also very challenging and takes a ton of practice and hard work. I love that about it,” he said.

“My mom is the manager of Social Security Administration in Huntsville,” Jordan said. “My father is a program analyst at The Boeing Company.” Jordan has one brother, Justin, who attends the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
