City website redesigned for easier navigation, search

MADISON – The City of Madison has launched its redesigned website with new features for easier navigation, a ‘clean’ format and optimized search features.

“Our community is digitally focused, and the old site was difficult to find information. We hope this redesign can help residents answer questions, deliver their city news and keep our citizens engaged,” Samantha Magnuson said. Magnuson is Communications Specialist for the City of Madison.

The updated website now interacts better with mobile devices and applications. The city’s website “brands Madison with its colors, logo and icon-based appearance,” Magnuson said.

“The city collaborated with all departments to listen to community needs, providing a more transparent and information forward website,” Magnuson said. “Access to online services and payment portals were enhanced, also intriguing video and picture content was included in the project.”

Magnuson announced the website launch to Mayor Paul Finley and Madison City Council on Feb. 26 at council’s regular meeting.
