Jaxon Yamaguchi scores ‘hat trick’ at state

MADISON – Soccer is 14-year-old Jaxon Yamaguchi’s favorite sport because he “likes the ‘team part’ and shutting people down.”

Yamaguchi plays the position of center back with AYSO United.

A seventh-grader at Liberty Middle School, Yamaguchi is a member of Beta Club. He attends Summit Crossing Church and volunteers with students in elementary grades.

“I am an Indian Guide with the Native Sons and Daughters of Madison. My favorite things to do as a guide are camping, shooting rifles and fishing at Camp Cha-La-Kee,” Yamaguchi said.

His younger brother, Jace, is a third-grader at Heritage Elementary School. His younger sister, Jayda Yamaguchi, is in fifth grade at Heritage.

Their parents are Aaron and Regina Yamaguchi. Aaron works as a Strength Coach at Ascend Health and Wellness Consultation. Regina works as a physical therapist for Huntsville City Schools.

“We moved to Madison on the first day of school this year,” Jaxon said. “We’ve always played ball in Madison, and I’ve made a lot of friends there. We moved to go to school with our friends, and we have always heard how great the schools were.”
